Lately...

We have been very busy!!! Here is what we've been up to...

Below is one of our very best friends, Kenny (he's the tall white guy on the motorcycle. haha) Kenny and his wife Shana have been best friends of ours for years and they came all the way to Asia to visit us!! We were SO incredibly blessed and encouraged by them. Not only did they bring Cheetos and Lucky Charms, but they also brought us some new books, some fun clothes for the kiddos (born and unborn!), and encouraging cards and notes from our Fellowship back home. We stayed up late talking almost every night and Daniel and I just loved taking them to the local restaurants and introducing them to our friends here. Basically, we just loved getting to show them our life here and to hear about all that is going on in their life back home.
Kenny and Shana flew out of Hong Kong, and we had to go their anyways for our visas, so we stayed a few days and did some sightseeing. One day we went to one of the outlying islands (I think it is called Lama Island, but not sure). Here is Elijah and I enjoying the peace and quiet of the island by the ocean.

This is also a good time to point out our new stroller!! We bought it the day we got to Hong Kong and it was one of the best decisions we've made in a long time! Its a Jeep Wrangler, and let me tell you there is not a bumpy, unlevel sidewalk in town that I'm scared of anymore. This thing is awesome!

As we were walking around the island we came upon a small church where we heard people singing praise music...in English! They invited us in to worship with them and we had such a great time. We were the only foreigners in the service but everyone spoke some English so we could talk with them. This was not something that they do every Sunday, this was just a special English service, for 1 hour, that we "just happened" to pass by at the right time. God is so good and knew we needed to worship with other believers that day!

Daniel and Elijah on the ferry back to Hong Kong Island. Pucker up!!

Aren't these boys precious??? I just love them.

Also, while in Hong Kong, I had to have a very unpleasant surgery on my toe. Its embarassing to say, but you all love me for who I am, right?? haha :) Well, I had an ingrown toenail that had to be cut out, and along with it the doctor cut off about 30% of my entire toenail and a huge chunk of my skin. Yeah, not the funnest day of my life, and it will take 6-8 weeks to heal. So I'm hobbling around now and will be for some time to come, but at least it will be healed by the time the baby comes!!
Speaking of baby...here we are at 30 weeks!!! Its very hard to believe we've already made it this far. Next week the weekly countdown will enter the single digits. YIKES!!!
We leave for Thailand in 5 weeks, so we are now (kind of frantically) trying to get all of the arrangements made. Please pray for us concerning this!
There is definitely more to tell, but I'm out of time right now! I will try to update here in the next couple of days and tell you about the Skype shower that my Mom and sis-in-law Shawn through for us. It was FUN, and such a huge blessing.
Have a great day!

How fun. A Skype shower what a great idea!

In the midst of all we have had going on Daniel had an ingrown toenail cut out as well. The shots were the worst part, until he had his two week check up and the doctor removed some of the yellow tissue. Daniel has done a great job soaking it and it should be totally healed in a couple of weeks. We don't have to take him back to the doctor. She fixed it to where this should not happen again. Sounds a lot like what you had done. Great time for some pampering:)
